Now that Australia is getting cold lately, Then the ideas keeping pop into my head Should I knitting something to keep me and me children's warm, But what kids of knit I should knit that would be able to be easy and fast enough to catch up with this season? Here the ideas starting to shine while I out for shopping ( Yarns and wools of cause ) walked down pathway I saw a cute beanie. Therefore my inspiration started Stitch Plait hat auspicious I manner to knit this cute hat for my Children's this hat will be suit 0-6 year old.

You will need
8Ply Wool I used 100% Acrylic wool
Knitting Needles size 5.00mm OR  6 UK ,8 US
Cable Needle

Using 6.00 mm cast on 90 sts RIB 2X2 for 8 rows increase 5sts in last row(95sts)

1:K2,*P2,K9,P2*K2
2:P2,*K2,P9,K2*P2
3:K2*P2,C6B, K3,P2* K2
4:P2,*K2,P9,K2*P2
5:K2,*P2,K9,P2*K2
6:P2,*K2,P9,k2*P2
7:K2*P2,K3,C6F,P2*K2
8:P2,*K2,P9,K2*P2
Repeat these pattern for 4 rows

Shape Crown

1: *K10,K2tog* to last 11 sts , K9,K2tog
2: Purl
3:*K9,K2tog* To last 10 sts, K9,K2tog
4: Purl
5:*K8,K2tog* to end
6: Purl
7: *K7,K2tog* to end
8: Purl
9: *k6,K2tog* to end
10: Purl
11:*K5,K2tog* to end
12: Purl
13: *k4,K2tog* to end
14: Purl
15:*K3,K2tog* to end
16: Purl
17: *K2,K2tog* to end
18: Purl
19: *K1,K2tog* to end
20: purl
21: *K2tog* to end

Cut yarn, weave end through remaining sts. Draw tight and weave in end.

Option : Sewing Pom Pom To hat.

Using 4.5 MM or UK 7 size needle Cast on 50 Sts

Rib 2X2 for 4 rows
(Button Holes Row) Rib 12 Sts yfwd, k2tog Rib to last 14 Sts , yfwd ,k2tog Rib to end
Rib 2X2 for 5 more rows ( 10 rows in Rib in total) in last Rib row (row 10) increases 1 St evenly (51sts)

Bubble Gum Pattern
1: Knit
2:Purl
3:Knit
4:Purl
5:K3,*k4B,K3*to end
6:purl
7:knit
8:purl
9:knit
10:Purl
11:k1*K4B,k3*to last 2 Sts K4B,K1
12:Purl
Rep 1-12 rows for 5 more times (6 in total or 72 rows)

Decrease row for legs opening

Cast off 10 Sts in next 2 rows
Cast off 4 Sts in next 2 rows (23sts)
Next row : *K3,K4B*to last 3 Sts ,K3
Cast off 3 Sts in next 4 rows ( now you have 11 Sts left)
Purl 1 row
Next row : K1*K4B,K3* to last 1 st ,K1
ST-ST for 5 Rows starting on Purl row
Next row : *K3,K4B* to last 3 Sts,K3

Increase row
Cast on 10 Sts in next 2 rows
Cast on 4 Sts in next 2 rows
Cast on 3 Sts in next 2 rows
Next row : *K3,K4B* to last 3 Sts K3
Cast on 3 Sts in beginning of next row
Cast on 3 Sts, K3*K4B,K3* to end
Cast on 3 sts in next 2 rows  (Now you will have 51sts)
ST-ST for 3 rows starting purl row
Next row: K5*K4B,K1* to last 4 Sts K4
Purl 1 row.

Work in Bubble Gum Pattern for 6 Times 72 Rows Decrease 1 st in last row

Rib 2X2 for 10 Rows
Cast off 10 Sts leave 7 Sts into pin  and then cast off 26 Sts leave 7 Sts into pin cast off all stitch.

Straps ( Make 2 )
Put 7 Sts from pin onto knitting needles (I using 4.00 mm UK8) rejoin yarn.
Now Garter Stitch ( Knit every row) for 50 Rows ( or your desired length)  Cast off
Repeat Another Strap
Before stitching side seam together pick up along leg opening
Picking up 48 Sts and Rib 2X2 for 6 rows then Cast off Repeat another leg

Stitch together side seam and add buttons weave in ends.

Requirements:
DK yarn of your choice
4.5mm (UK 7) Needles

Cast on 74 sts
Work in RIB stitch 2x2 for 6 rows in last row decrease 1 sts (73sts)

Work in pattern as follow
1:  *k4,p2* k1
2: p1*k2,p4*
3: *k4,p2*k1
4: p1*k2,p4*
5: * Right Needle BTWN( Between Needles) 4th & 5th stitches and draw through loop , k1,p2,k3* k1
6: p1*p3,k2,p2tog*
7: k1*p2,k4*
8: *p4.k2*p1
9: k1*p2,k4*
10: *p4,k2*p1
11: k3 *Right Needle BTWN(Between Needle) 4th&5th stitches and draw through loop , k1,p2,k3* ending with k1,p2,k1
12: p1,k2,p1*p3,k2,p2tog*p3
Work in pattern for twice

Shape top

1: *k7,k2tog* to end
2 and alt row PURL
3:*k6,k2tog* to end
5: *k5,k2tog*
7: *k4,k2tog*
9: *k3,k2tog*
11: *k2,k2tog*
13: *k1,k2tog*
15: *k2tog*
Break yarn and draw through remaining sts, pull tightly then sew up seam
